Three players combine for 55 points in Mount’s triumph
The trio of Junior Robinson, Jonah Antonio and Greg Alexander combined for 55 points and all nine 3-pointers as Mount Saint Mary's slipped past North Florida 84-81 in a game that came down to the wire on Saturday in Orlando, Fla.
Robinson scored a jumper to break a 78-78 tie with 37 seconds remaining and Donald Carey made all four free throws despite being scoreless to that point.
The hard-fought game saw 10 ties, 17 lead changes and wasn't settled until the very end. Ivan Gandia-Rosa scored North Florida's final six points, his drive with 10 seconds on the clock pulled the Ospreys to 82-81. After two Carey free throws at eight seconds, Gandia-Rosa saw a potential game-tying 3-pointer rim out as time expired.
NO. 24 WEST VIRGINIA 111, MORGAN STATE 48: Daxter Miles had a career-high 32 points to lead the host Moutaineers (2-1) over the Bears (2-2).
Lapri McCray-Pace and Martez Cameron led Morgan State with 10 points each.
GEORGETOWN 83, UMES 57: Jessie Govan had his third straight double-double, Marcus Derrickson had the third of his career and the host Hoyas (3-0) remain unbeaten under former star Patrick Ewing.
Kaleb Johnson scored a career-high 24 points for Georgetown on 9-of-13 shooting, including four 3-pointers. Govan had 23 points, making 10 of 15 shots, and grabbed 14 rebounds, and Derrickson had 14 points and 10 boards.
Miryne Thomas led the Hawks (1-2) with 16 points and Ahmad Frost had 14.
NAVY 79, BRYANT 71: The visiting Mids (2-2) outscored the Bulldogs (0-3) by 10 points in the second half to win.
Bryce Dulin led Navy with 21 points and Tom Lacey had 17 points and Hasan Abdullah had 16 points.
