Blue Jeans {& Bow Ties} Ball

-

No matter what attire the occasion calls for, Ashley Hatter, 39, can always be counted on to rise to the challenge. And then some. The Homeland stay-at-home mother of four — Henry, 11, Lola, 7, Ruby, 5, and Denny, 3 — is known for her polished, elegant style at whatever event she attends.

“I like to keep things classic and then add in whatever’s trending at the moment,” said Hatter, whose husband, Charlie Hatter, is an owner of Monument Sotheby’s International Realty and Prime Building Advantage.

However, for the Blue Jeans {& Bow Ties} Ball, Hatter decided to get into the fun spirit of the party by piling on the pieces with shimmer and flash.

“I wouldn’t have normally put all of that together. I would have swapped out that jacket and the tank for a soft white sweater. Or maybe I probably would have worn that jacket with black jeans and a T-shirt. When I wear those earrings, I typically wear them with something plain,” she explained.

The glitzy get-up was a great fit for the fête; not so much for later that evening.

“We went downtown afterward, even though I begged my husband not to. The shiny pants, the glitz on the jacket and the big earrings — it was almost a costume, too over-thetop,” she said with a laugh.
