Here’s to their health: Young should be lone absentee vs. KC

- By Daniel Oyefusi

Aside from slot cornerback Tavon Young’s season-ending knee injury, the Ravens will be at their healthiest entering Monday night’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs in Baltimore.

The Ravens listed four players as questionable for the prime-time showdown: wide receiver Chris Moore (finger), rookie defensive tackle Justin Madubuike (knee), defensive back-linebacker Anthony Levine Sr. and reserve offensive lineman D.J. Fluker (shoulder). Coach John Harbaugh said he anticipates every player will be available for Monday night.

“All the guys, except for Tavon, will be available to play,” coach John Harbaugh said Friday on a videoconference call. “So we’ll just have to work that out in terms of what we feel serves us best in terms of players that are active, like we always do.”

Moore and Madubuike missed the team’s first two games but returned to practice this week. Both players were limited throughout the week.

Harbaugh has said that if Moore is healthy enough to play, he could contribute immediately on special teams. Madubuike, a third-round pick, would have to show enough in practice to make his debut on “Monday Night Football,” Harbaugh said.

Levine was also limited this week. Fluker practiced in full capacity Thursday and Friday but was limited Saturday with a shoulder injury.

Harbaugh also said he expects the team to place Young, who has been ruled out with a torn ACL he suffered Sunday against the Houston Texans, on the injured reserve “at some point soon.” Doing so would open a spot on the 53-man roster.

The team will also have the option of elevating up to two practice squad players to the active roster.

The Chiefs have ruled out backup defensive end Alex Okafor (hamstring). Kansas City also listed wide receiver Sammy Watkins (concussion/neck), starting cornerback Charvarius Ward (hand) and reserve linebacker Dorian O’Daniel (knee/ankle) as questionable.

Watkins, who ranks third on the Chiefs with 93 receiving yards, was a full participant in Friday’s practice. Ward, who broke his hand in the team’s season opener and missed Week 2, was a limited participant in Friday’s practice.
