Bonnie J. Strunge (nee Peedin) of Ellicott City, MD, peacefully passed away on January 21, 2021 at the age of 85. She was born in Willow Springs, NC as the youngest daughter of Callie and Edward Peedin; devoted sister to Geraldine (Nick) and Thomas (Michelle); loving and faithful wife of 60 years to George; proud mother of Dana (Ron) and Tom (Leslie); MeMom to Matthew (Sarah), Katie, Ethan, Daniel and Great MeMom to sweet Finn; Aunt Bonnie to nieces and nephews; wonderful friend to so many who would describe her as loyal and kind. Her family moved to Baltimore when Bonnie was five years old. She graduated from Western High School, Baltimore, MD in 1953 and married George in 1960. She worked for the Social Security Administra­tion until she became a mother. Bonnie was not a life-long Catholic, although she attended mass each week after marriage. In 1997, she took her journey of faith with Reverend Christophe­r Carney and converted to Catholicis­m. Bonnie developed dementia in her last years, and was lovingly cared for at home by George until October. She spent her last months at St. Joseph’s Nursing Home in Catonsvill­e, where her loving care continued by the committed and compassion­ate Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate and their staff. Services will be held at a later date. Remembranc­es in Bonnie’s honor may be sent to St. Joseph’s Nursing Home, 1222 Tugwell Drive, Catonsvill­e, MD 21228.
