DAMICO, SR., Frank
Frank Damico Sr. left his earthly home on Tuesday, April 12th 2022. He was born on January 16, 1945, to the late Frank and Matilda (Amendola) Damico. Raised in Erie, Pennsylvania, Frank attended Penn State University, Behrend Campus, after which he moved to Maryland, to
begin what would become a distinguished 35 year career at the National Security Agency. After
retiring, Frank enjoyed a second career as co-owner in the family business, Atlas Stone
Fabricators, in Odenton, for 18 years.
Residents of Gambrills, MD for almost 50 years, Frank, and his wife Carol, formed many lifelong friendships and remain beloved members of the community. Frank’s life revolved around his family. He especially enjoyed traveling to new places together. Family camping trips, summers at the beach, boating, a game on tv, a good breakfast at the diner or a challenging jigsaw puzzle were among his favorite things. Even better if he could do them while spending time with his kids and grandkids.
Frank was a devoted husband to Carol, his wife of 57 years, and loving father to Frank Jr. (Sheri), Emily and Natalie. He was an adoring grandfather to Danielle, Haley (Max) Mayhew, Gabrielle, and Nick. Frank is
survived by his siblings Mark (Jennifer), Gary (Barbara) and Roseanne Hathaway, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
His wit, knowledge, and attentiveness have blessed the lives of many and he will be dearly missed. A celebration of Frank’s life will be held Tuesday, April 19th at 3pm at Hardesty Funeral Home (851 Annapolis Rd. Gambrills, MD 21054). Visitation will be from 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM.
