Bey­once post­pones show for ‘vo­cal rest’

Just hours be­fore her 35th birth­day bash, Bey­once an­nounced on her web­site that she has been forced to post­pone her Wed­nes­day con­cert at MetLife Sta­dium in East Ruther­ford, N.J., “as a re­sult of strict doc­tor’s or­ders for vo­cal rest.”

The Grammy-win­ning singer’s “Soul Train”themed party Mon­day night at­tracted a star-stud­ded crowd of rev­el­ers, in­clud­ing Ali­cia Keys, Ken­drick La­mar, Carmelo An­thony, P. Diddy, Usher, Ser­ena Wil­liams and fel­low Des­tiny’s Child alumni Michelle Wil­liams and Kelly Row­land. The event was rock­ing un­til about 4:30 a.m. Tues­day, ac­cord­ing to sources.

On Sun­day, Bey­once had cel­e­brated her birth­day with the likes of Bill Clinton and Chance the Rap­per while at­tend­ing hus­band Jay Z’s Made in Amer­ica Fes­ti­val in Philadel­phia, where Clinton was pro­mot­ing voter reg­is­tra­tion.

Wed­nes­day’s show has been post­poned un­til Oct. 7, and tick­ets for the orig­i­nal date will be hon­ored for the resched­uled per­for­mance.

Bey­once’s “For­ma­tion World Tour” is to re­sume Satur­day in St. Louis.
