JCPen­ney to hire 500 lo­cally for hol­i­day sea­son

JCPen­ney plans to hire 500 sea­sonal work­ers in the Bal­ti­more area for the hol­i­day sea­son, the de­part­ment store chain said Wednes­day. Em­ploy­ees are needed for cus­tomer ser­vice and sup­port jobs such as cashier, re­plen­ish­ment spe­cial­ist, mer­chan­dise sup­port spe­cial­ist and other po­si­tions. Hir­ing will start in early Oc­to­ber and con­tinue through­out the hol­i­day sea­son. Ap­pli­cants can ap­ply in stores at ap­pli­cant kiosks or on­line at jcp­ca­reers.com. Sea­sonal work­ers are given the full as­so­ciate store dis­count of up to 25 per­cent and are of­fered flex­i­ble hol­i­day schedul­ing. JCPen­ney has six de­part­ment stores in the Bal­ti­more area: at East­point Mall in Dun­dalk, White Marsh Mall, Mar­ley Sta­tion Mall in Glen Burnie, The Mall in Columbia, An­napo­lis Mall and Boule­vard at Box Hill in Abing­don.
