Two arrested in connection with Catonsvill­e shooting

Baltimore County police announced Friday they have arrested two men in the shooting Sept. 27 of a 23-year-old man in Catonsvill­e. Marco Patrick Morra, 18, of Catonsvill­e and Ryan Matthew Young, 20, of Gwynn Oak were charged with attempted first-degree murder and related charges, according to police. The victim met Morra and Young at a wooded area near Geipe Road and North Rolling Road and was shot at least once in the upper body, the police said. Police believe the victim was targeted but would not comment as to why because the incident remains under investigat­ion. There was no update on the victim’s condition. Morra was arrested Sept. 28, while Young was arrested Sept. 30. They are being held in the county jail. A preliminar­y hearing for Morra and Young is scheduled for Oct. 28. Attorneys for the men could not be reached to comment.
