Seven students were charged in a brawl Thursday morning at Annapolis High School, Anne Arundel County police said. The fight occurred in an upstairs hallway around 7:10 a.m. as hundreds of students were preparing to attend their first class of the day. Two students began to fight, spawning additional scuffles, Bob Mosier, a county schools spokesman said. The school’s resource officer requested additional police to help break up the fight. County and Annapolis police responded and were able to gain control of the situation in about two minutes, police said. The students were charged on counts including second-degree assault, disorderly conduct and disrupting school activities, said Lt. Jacklyn Davis, a county police spokeswoman. One student was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
