80-year-old woman critical in domestic incident, police say

A 60-year-old woman was stabbed to death and an 80-yearold woman was critically injured Sunday night in West Baltimore, police said.

Police said the stabbings happened during a “domestic-related incident” in the Bridgeview­Greenlawn neighborho­od.

Officers were called to a family disturbanc­e around 11:35 p.m. in the 2500 block of W. Lafayette Ave. Sharon Dorsey was found stabbed in her upper body. She was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where she later died.

Police located a second victim, an 80-year-old woman with stab wounds to the body. She was taken to an area hospital and remains in critical condition.

Police said they have identified and are searching for a “person of interest.”

Detectives are also investigat­ing two fatal shootings that occurred three hours apart Monday afternoon on the city’s west side.

Police said the first shooting was reported shortly after 2 p.m. in the 3700 block of Beehler Ave. A 29-year-old man was shot several times in the upper and lower body.

He was taken to a hospital in grave condition and later pronounced dead, police said.

Police did not release the name of the victim or informatio­n about a motive or suspects.

About 4:45 p.m., officers found a man suffering from gunshot wounds inside a car that had crashed into a tree on North Monroe Street, just north of West Baltimore Street, police said. The man was taken to a hospital, where he died.

Another victim turned up at a hospital and was being treated for gunshot wounds, police said.

ALexus sedan with a shattered driver’s side window and bullet holes in the door was resting against a tree.

Three blocks north, detectives located shattered glass and bullet casings.
