The senior goalie, in her fourth varsity season, played flawlessly last week in three shutout wins for the No. 2 Cavaliers. Nemecek’s highlight performanc­e came in Thursday’s showdown against Interschol­astic Athletic Associatio­n of Maryland A Conference rival Notre Dame Prep — a 1-0 win that featured 12 saves. It also included a key stop on a penalty stroke as the Cavaliers (13-3) avenged an earlier loss against the Blazers. On Oct. 11, Archbishop Spalding opened the week with a 3-0 win over fellow IAAM opponent Roland Park and it closed things out with a 3-0 win over Wootton. Nemecek finished with 19 saves in the three wins. Set to play at William & Mary, Nemecek has been a part of 10 shutouts this season and has a .886 save percentage.
