3-star Ga. athlete Browder commits to Class of 2017

Three-star athlete Jalen Browder committed to Maryland, he announced on Twitter. Browder, who had 746 receiving yards and seven touchdowns last season for East Paulding (Ga.), is ranked the No. 52 athlete in the nation by 247Sports.com. The 6-foot-3, 185-pound Browder also had offers from Louisville, Mississipp­i and Missouri, among others. Terps wide receivers coach Chris Beatty was the lead recruiter. Browder is the second athlete commit in Maryland’s Class of 2017 and 19th pledge overall. The Terps already have three wide receivers committed, two of them — Sean Nelson and Carlos Carriere — also from Georgia.
