The standout senior, last year’s All-Metro Cross Country Runner of the Year, captured her third straight Anne Arundel cross country championsh­ip last Wednesday at Chesapeake­AA. Coffin came across in 17 minutes, 25 seconds to enjoy a comfortabl­e win over the runner-up, her younger sister, Anna, who finished in 19:05. Winning big races has become the norm for Coffin, who also is a standout distance runner in track and field. In her junior cross country season, she won the Anne Arundel and Class 3A East region races before claiming her first state crown.

After winning a state title in the 1,600-meter run in indoor track and state outdoor titles in the 1,600 and 3,200,, she was named the All-Metro Outdoor Track and Field Performer of the Year. Coffin recently committed to run at Providence.
