Ex-Terps center Stone tries to catch on with Bulls

-

The search for a permanent NBA home continues for former Maryland center Diamond Stone. Stone, who came to College Park being mentioned as a potential lottery pick and left after his freshman year as a second-round selection, has signed with the Chicago Bulls, the team reported on its website Thursday. Stone signed a two-year contract. A report said he received a partial guarantee of $50,000, and would likely be assigned to Chicago’s G-League affiliate, the Windy City Bulls. It marks the fourth team Stone has been affiliated with. His chances of making the Chicago’s NBA roster seem remote, since the Bulls currently have four big men under contract.
