There are a lot of people happy that Caleb Edney is back this year. Ryan Proctor and Joe Foy are at the top of that list.

Edney went 14-for-26 for 343 yards and four touchdowns, Proctor caught eight passes for 243 yards and three touchdowns and Foy ran for 216 yards on 29 carries and scored two touchdowns to lead South River to a 46-42 victory over Annapolis on Friday.

South River (2-2) led by 12 points at the half, fell behind by two midway through the third quarter, then rallied one last time for its first win over Annapolis (2-2) since 2013.

Proctor’s 81-yard touchdown reception early in the fourth quarter gave South River a 40-28 lead. The teams traded scores over the next 11 minutes, but the Seahawks got one final stop after Annapolis advanced as far as the South River 13.

SEVERN 13, ST. PAUL’S 12: Jakob Lilly made a touchdown reception and Henry Rentz rushed for another touchdown to lead the visiting Admirals (4-0, 1-0 MIAA B Conference) past the Crusaders (1-2, 1-1).

ATHOLTON 7, MARRIOTTS RIDGE 2: The visiting Raiders improved to 3-1 and the Mustangs fell to 0-3.

The Raiders went 66 yards on eight plays on their first possession of the second half for their only score. Quarter- back Connor Marshall completed a 27yard touchdown pass to tight end Philip Choi on fourth-and-6.

OAKLAND MILLS 53, MOUNT HEBRON15: The visiting Scorpions (1-3) built a comfortable lead and beat the Vikings (1-3).

Quarterback Shallon Robinson and his teammates understand how quickly leads can evaporate, and they didn’t want to be on the wrong end of another comeback. To them, even after every touchdown — and there were eight of them — the game remained 0-0.
