Cardin should stick to his opposition to the Iran deal
I do not know, as your opinion writer suggests, whether Sen. Ben Cardin is “critical” to the continuation of the Iran nuclear agreement (“Sen. Cardin critical to preserving Iran nuclear deal,” Feb. 11), but I hope he is at least consistent in his position. I was disappointed that the senator did not oppose the Iran deal until it was clear that the Obama administration had the votes to pass it. Nothing could have been clearer than the fact that Senator Cardin’s constituency vehemently opposed the Iran deal. I would hope that when the issue is raised we might expect statesmanship as opposed to political expediency or anti-Trumpism to win out.
