St. Frances senior guard Nia Clouden was named Gatorade Maryland Girls Basketball Player of the Year for the second straight season. Clouden, 5 feet 7, led the Panthers to a 24-4 record and a third straight Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference championship this past season, averaging 13.8 points, 3.1 assists, 3.1 rebounds and1.2 steals per game. A two-time IAAM All-State selection, she is rated as the nation’s No. 43 recruit in the Class of 2018 by espnW. Martina Navratilova says she is “angry” and feels let down by the BBC after learning that John McEnroe gets paid at least 10 times more than her for their broadcasting roles at Wimbledon. In a list of the BBC’s highest-paid workers published last year, it was revealed that McEnroe earned between 150,000-199,999 pounds ($210,000-280,000) for working at Wimbledon. Navratilova says she gets paid 15,000 pounds ($21,000).
