Nozemack scores five in Hereford’s 2OT lax win

J.D. Nozemack (five goals) scored the game-tying and game-winning goals as No. 10 Hereford won 9-8 in double overtime over No. 9 Severna Park boys lacrosse Friday night.

The visiting Bulls (4-2) trailed 8-3 at halftime before playing lock-down defense on the Falcons (4-2).

NO. 2 BOYS’ LATIN 11, NO. 7 GILMAN 9: Matt Brandau had six goals and an assist to pace the Lakers (7-1, 2-0 Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association AConference) past the host Greyhounds (4-4, 0-2). Boys’ Latin trailed 4-3 at the half before going on a 5-3 run in the fourth quarter.

NO. 3 MCDONOGH 12, NO. 6 SEVERN 6: The host Eagles (5-4, 1-1MIAA AConference) used a 6-1 run in the fourth quarter to pull away from the Admirals (4-2, 2-1). The game featured five ties. UMass-bound Jackson Cummings gave McDonogh the lead, 7-6, for good late in the fourth quarter.

FRIENDS 10, ARCHBISHOP CURLEY 6: Ned Forbush had a hat trick to lead the host Quakers (6-1, 2-0 MIAA B Conference) past the Friars (4-3, 3-1).

NO. 1 MCDONOGH 18, SEVERN 4: Maryland-bound Julia Hoffman scored a gamehigh five goals to lead the visiting Eagles (8-0, 5-0 Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference) past the Admirals (3-6, 1-3). McDonogh’s winning streak improved to 185.

ST. MARY’S 12, NO. 14 ST. PAUL’S 6: Whitney Albert had a game-high five goals to lead the Saints (5-2, 3-1 IAAM A Conference) past the host Gators (2-2, 2-2).
