Marlins: Marlins LHP Jarlin Garcia was taken out after allowing no hits in six innings against the Mets on Wednesday. The Marlins led 1-0, and Garcia threw 77 pitches in his first majorleague start. He walked two and struck out three.
Red Sox: LHP David Price was pulled from a start against the Yankees after experiencing a tingling sensation in his left hand. The team said that he will be evaluated further.
Dodgers: The All-Star Game is returning to Dodger Stadium in 2020 for the first time since 1980. Commissioner Rob Manfred made the announcement at Dodger Stadium.
Tigers: RHP Jordan Zimmer- mann bruised the right side of his jaw when hit in the face by a line drive off the bat of the Indians’ Jason Kipnis and left after two batters in the Tigers’ 5-1 loss.
Twins: RF Max Kepler hit his second home run of the game in the bottom of the ninth inning as the host Twins bounced back from a late collapse to beat the Astros 9-8. After the Twins blew an 8-1 lead, Kepler homered with two strikes off Brad Peacock (1-1).
Mariners: 3B Kyle Seager hit a go-ahead homer with two outs in the eighth inning, and the Mariners held on to beat the Royals 4-2 to wrap up a winning sevengame journey that covered 10 days and about 5,200 miles. The Mariners went 4-3 on their visits to San Francisco, Minneapolis and Kansas City.
Cardinals: C Yadier Molina dropped his appeal of his onegame suspension stemming from an altercation with Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo and sat out the Cardinals’ 3-2 loss to the Brewers.
Astros: 1B Yuli Gurriel is expected to be activated from the 10-day disabled list this week. Recovering from left hand surgery, Gurriel finished an injury rehab stint with Double-A Corpus Christi on Tuesday. Gurriel served a five-game suspension at the start of the season for a racist gesture made to Dodgers starter Yu Darvish in the 2017 World Series.
