Terps-Hopkins lax tickets selling at a rapid pace

Fans planning to attend the men’s lacrosse game between No. 1 Maryland and No. 7 Johns Hopkins on April 28 at 2 p.m. at Homewood Field in Baltimore should not wait too long to purchase tickets. The Blue Jays announced Tuesday that tickets for the 116th installmen­t of the annual in-state rivalry are going fast and are expected to sell out before the day of the game. Tickets for the game, which will highlight homecoming plans and celebrate the Johns Hopkins senior class, will be capped at 10,000. To order tickets online, go to hopkinsspo­rts.com. To buy tickets in person, fans can go to the main office of the Johns Hopkins Department of Athletics from Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. If the game is not sold out in advance, ticket sales on game day will begin at noon, 30 minutes earlier than usual. Authoritie­s said Coyotes F Richard Panik was arrested for trespassin­g for refusing to leave the entrance of a bar. Police in Scottsdale, Ariz., said Panik, 27, was arrested the night of April 8, the day after the Coyotes’ season ended. Police said Panik appeared to be intoxicate­d during his contact with officers. He was booked into the Scottsdale City Jail and later released on a criminal citation. In a statement, Coyotes officials said they are aware of the incident and are gathering informatio­n. ... The Flames fired coach Glen Gulutzan.

Gyarfas is suspected of ordering the murder of media mogul Janos Fenyo, who was fatally shot. Hungarian media said the suspect was Tamas Gyarfas, 69, who led the Hungarian Swimming Federation from 1993-2006.
