Brewers: OF Christian Yelich was activated from the 10-day disabled list after recovering from a right oblique injury. Yelich didn’t play in a 2-0 win over the Reds, but he likely will start Wednesday. RHP Jorge Lopez was optioned to Triple-A Colorado Springs.
Marlins: C J.T. Realmuto homered and drove in four runs in his season debut — a 9-1 win over the Yankees — after being activated from the DL following recovery from a back injury.
Rockies: Chad Bettis pitched into the eighth inning and combined with three relievers on a five-hitter in a 2-0 victory over the Pirates on a snowy night. Bettis allowed five hits in 7 innings, striking out three and walking two.
Indians: One of the team’s top prospects, C Francisco Mejia, is suing a company he claims gave him $360,000 in exchange for a 10 percent stake in his future earnings that could amount to millions of dollars. Mejia claimed in a federal lawsuit filed in February that the agreement is unfair and unenforceable, and that he didn't understand the extent to which he was mortgaging his future when he signed the contracts to get the money. ... Francisco Lindor hit a two-run homer to propel the Indians to a 6-1 win over the Twins in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Rays: 3B Matt Duffy landed on the DLbecause of a strained right hamstring that he injured running the bases Monday. Duffy called the injury a mild strain that will about a week to heal.
Yankees: RHP Tommy Kahnle was placed on the DL with right shoulder tendinitis, retroactive to Monday. Kahnle is 1-0 with a 6.14 ERA in six appearances. Manager Aaron Boone said the club was awaiting results of an MRI but is optimistic a few days of rest will get Kahnle back on track.
Angels: Two-way sensation Shohei Ohtani made his third major-league start against the Red Sox’s David Price. Ohtani was 2-0 with a 2.08 ERA and 18 strikeouts in 13 innings on the mound entering Tuesday.
