Red Sox: LHP David Price was diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome after twice experienci­ng numbness in his pitching hand this season. Red Sox manager Alex Cora said Price will rejoin the team Thursday. He’ll throw at Yankee Stadium, and then be re-evaluated.

Diamondbac­ks: The Diamondbac­ks can leave Chase Field to find a new home by 2022 without penalty following a vote by the Maricopa County Board of Supervisor­s, which approved the deal 4-1. The Diamondbac­ks have played at Chase since the franchise debuted in 1998.

Yankees: 1B Greg Bird is set to begin a rehab assignment Thursday with the Yankees’ Class A affiliate in Tampa, Fla., as he works back from ankle surgery that he underwent March 27. Yankees manager Aaron Boone estimated Bird, who has been playing in extended spring training, will need 10 to 20 days on a rehab assignment before he’d be ready to return to the majors.

A’s: RHPTrevor Cahill was put on the 10-day disabled list because of an impingemen­t in his pitching elbow, a move retroactiv­e to Sunday. Cahill, 30, was called up from the minors April 17 and went 1-1 with a 2.25 ERA in four starts, one of which featured him striking out 12 Orioles.

Indians: RHP Carlos Carrasco struck out 14 in a complete game, OF Tyler Naquin and SS Fran- cisco Lindor homered, and the Indians beat the Brewers 6-2. Carrascoal­lowed five hits and also drove in a run with his ninth-inning single.

Rangers: OF Nomar Mazara led off the 10th inning with his second homer of the game, giving the Rangers a 5-4 victory over the Tigers and their first winning home series this season. Mazara now has 10 homers, seven in May.

Angels: C Rene Rivera homered with a sore right hand, 3B Zack Cozart and OFJustin Upton also went deep, and the Angels snapped the Rockies’ six-game winning streak with an 8-0 victory. Four pitchers combined to strike out 14 for the Angels, who improved to 14-4 on the road.
