Allen’s 1st HR of year wins wild one
CLEVELAND — Rookie Greg Allen homered on Brad Peacock’s first pitch in the 14th inning, and the Indians stunned the Astros 10-9 on Sunday.
Allen’s first homer of the season triggered a wild celebration for the Indians, who rallied twice to overcome an impressive performance by Jose Altuve.
The Indians scored five runs in the bottom of the ninth. Michael Brantley, who extended his hitting streak to 16 games, got a two-out RBI single off Hector Rondon to tie it at 8.
