■ Brewers: Brent Suter drove in two runs and pitched a seasonhigh seven innings, Christian Yelich, Hernan Perez and Jesus Aguilar homered and the NL Central leaders crushed Jake Arrieta and the Phillies 13-2. Suter (7-4) allowed one run on six hits to win his fifth start in the last six. Arrieta allowed eight runs — four earned — on seven hits in 3 1⁄3 innings.

■ Blue Jays: Yangervis Solarte homered from both sides of the plate and Devon Travis also connected in a 6-5 win over the Nationals. Solarte is the eighth player in Jays history to homer from both sides of the plate. Gio Gonzalez allowed season worsts of five runs and nine hits.

■ Yankees: Jonathan Loaisiga pitched three-hit ball over five innings to win his major-league debut, a 5-0 victory over the Rays. Didi Gregorius homered off exYankee Nathan Eovaldi, and Gary Sanchez broke out of a long slump with a three-run double. Giancarlo Stanton hit a sac fly for the Yanks, who improved the best record in the majors to 45-20.

■ Padres: Hunter Renfroe’s goahead two-run single keyed a five-run seventh and Freddy Galvis hit a three-run homer and went 5-for-5 with four RBIs in a 9-3 win over the Braves. Jose Pirela added a two-run homer. Freddie Freeman hit his 15th home run for the Braves.

■ Pirates: Chad Kuhl won for the first time in more than a month as the Pirates edged Matt Harvey and the Reds 3-2. Harvey (1-5) allowed three runs on four hits with two strikeouts and two walks in five innings.

■ Giants: 3B Evan Longoria went on the DL after fracturing a bone in his left hand when he was hit by a pitch Thursday. Longoria was tied for the team lead with 34 RBIs, was second with 10 home runs and was tied for second with 27 extra-base hits.

■ MLB: Dodgers OF Matt Kemp and Rangers C Robinson Chirinos were suspended one game each for a scuffle after a collision at the plate. Chirinos accepted the ban; Kemp appealed.
