Blue Jays: J.A. Happ pitched a season-high 81⁄ innings to win his fifth straight decision and Kendrys Morales hit a two-run homer in a 5-4 victory over the Braves. Happ (9-3) allowed four runs on six hits, walked none and struck out eight. Morales went 2-for-3 and scored twice on his 35th birthday. ... RHP Marcus Stroman (shoulder) will be activated off the DL to start Saturday.

Reds: Scooter Gennett hit a tying two-run homer and Eugenio Suarez connected on the next pitch to key a 5-3 win and two-game sweep of the Tigers. Rookie Tyler Mahle overcame two solo home runs to remain unbeaten in four June starts, striking out eight in six innings.

Phillies: Cesar Hernandez hit a two-run homer before Odubel Herrera’s solo shot broke a tie in the seventh inning of a 4-3 win over the Cardinals. Jake Arrieta gave up three runs in six innings and has a 6.97 ERA in four starts this month after posting a 0.90 in May. Yadier Molina homered twice for the Cards, who lost starter Michael Wacha to a strained oblique in the fourth.

Cubs: Jon Lester won his fifth straight start, Javier Baez backed him with three hits and two runs and the Cubs blanked the Dodgers 4-0. Lester gave up five hits in seven innings. Baez had two doubles, a triple and a steal. ... Closer Brandon Morrow (back) went on the DL.

Indians: Corey Kluber became the first pitcher with 11 wins this season and Jose Ramirez and Jason Kipnis hit three-run homers in a 12-0 rout of the White Sox. Kluber (11-3) allowed only a single and a walk in seven innings. He struck out seven and retired the last 14 batters.

Giants: Hunter Pence had a pair of RBI singles to snap a 1-for-18 slump and Brandon Belt had three hits in a 6-5 win over the Marlins. Derek Holland struck out seven and gave up three runs in six innings.

A’s: Franklin Barreto hit a three-run homer in a 12-4 victory over the Padres. Josh Phegley, Mark Canha, Matt Olson and Jed Lowrie also went deep.
