Berdan promoted to head track coach at Stevenson

Dave Berdan, who has served as Stevenson’s men’s and women’s cross country coach as well as an assistant with the Mustangs track and field teams, will take over as head coach of track and field. He will continue to serve as the cross country head coach. Berdan, who was named the USTFCCCA Mideast Region Assistant Coach of the Year in men’s outdoor track this past spring, takes over a program coming off its best season. The Stevenson men captured both the Middle Atlantic Conference indoor and outdoor championsh­ips, while the Mustangs women placed second at both meets, their highest finish. WOMEN’S COLLEGE LACROSSE: Lynchburg’s Rachel Henderson (St. Paul’s) was named to the Old Dominion Athletic Conference first-team defense and selected to play in the Intercolle­giate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Associatio­n Division II Senior All-Star Game.
