Body found in state park identified as Hanover man
A body found in South Mountain State Park in Washington County has been identified as a 58year-old Hanover man, police said Wednesday. Maryland Natural Resources Police identified the man as Michael Joseph Mack and said he was found below Black Rock overlook in the park. The circumstances of the man’s death are not yet clear, said a police spokeswoman, Candy Thomson. The body was taken to the medical examiner’s office. Two climbers discovered the body Monday, Thomson said. She said the body was located in “incredibly bad terrain,” which made the recovery difficult.
