Croatia’s Mario Mandzukic lifts Luka Modric to celebrate after defeating England, 2-1, in extra time of Wednesday’s World Cup semifinal in Moscow. Croatia will make its first final appearance when it meets France for the title Sunday. Mandzukic scored the clincher in the second half of extra time. The Croatians rallied from a goal down for the third game in succession, with Ivan Perisic adding the equalizer in the 68th minute after Kieran Trippier opened the scoring early for England.
