Red Sox: RHP Rick Porcello pitched a one-hitter, 1B Steve Pearce homered for the fourth time in two nights and the Red Sox beat the Yankees 4-1 on Friday after manager Alex Cora’s ejection to open a season-high 71⁄ game lead in the American League East. Miguel Andujar’s leadoff homer in the third was the only hit allowed by Porcello, who threw only 86 pitches, matched his season high with nine strikeouts and walked none.

Marlins: The estate of former Marlins RHP Jose Fernandez settled a wrongful-death lawsuit with the families of two other men who were with him in a fatal boat crash in Florida in September 2016. Attorney Ralph Fernan- dez, who represents the late pitcher’s estate, confirmed Friday that an agreement was reached Tuesday with the estates of Emilio Macias and Eduardo Rivero. Details of the settlement weren’t disclosed.

Phillies: RHP Vince Velasquez allowed two hits in 61⁄ scoreless innings to lead the Phillies to a 5-1 victory over the Marlins. Reliever Seranthony Dominguez recorded the final four outs for his 12th save in 13 chances as the Phillies won their third straight to remain a half-game in front of the Braves for first place in the National League East.

Braves, Mets: 2B Ozzie Albies hit a tiebreakin­g double off RHP Jacob deGrom, RHP Anibal Sanchez pitched six effective innings and the Braves beat the Mets 2-1 for their fifth straight win. ... Mets LHP Steven Matz was placed on the 10-day disabled list with a flexor pronator strain in his pitching arm.

Rays: OF Tommy Pham, acquired Tuesday from the Cardinals, was placed on the 10-day DLbecause of a broken right foot. Pham was hit on the foot by a pitch Thursday and had an MRI on Friday.

Pirates: INF Jung Ho Kang, who finished third in the NL Rookie of the Year voting in 2015, underwent season-ending surgery on his left wrist. Kang was playing at Triple-A Indianapol­is.
