Man fatally shot in Penn North neighborho­od

A man was fatally shot in Baltimore on Wednesday afternoon, police said. Officers were called to the 2500 block of Woodbrook Ave. in Penn North around 1:47 p.m. for a reported shooting. They found a 54-year-old man with gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to an area hospital, where he later died. Homicide detectives are investigat­ing this incident. Anyone with informatio­n is asked to call 410-396-2100 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7Lockup. a serious stab wound to his lower calf, Aberdeen Police Lt. Will Reiber wrote in a news release. The wound required applicatio­n of a combat tourniquet to stop the bleeding, Reiber said. Aberdeen Fire & EMS arrived on the scene and took the man to Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air. A preliminar­y investigat­ion by detectives determined the victim was in an apartment when Miranda L. Pounds, 44, allegedly entered the apartment and confronted him, Reiber said. Pounds allegedly slapped the victim in the face and then stabbed him in the leg over a property dispute. After the stabbing, Pounds ran off, Reiber said. An arrest warrant has been issued for Pounds charging her with first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerme­nt and possession of a dangerous weapon with intent to injure, he said. Princess Anne pharmacist scares off robbers

A pharmacist in Princess Anne fired his revolver and ran off two would-be robbers, who are charged by police in connection with the incident. Princess Anne police filed multiple charges Tuesday against 22-year-old Cody Allen King and 22-year-old Justin Michael Bull. It couldn't be determined whether they have attorneys. Wasim Amir said he was sitting in his office at Karemore Pharmacy on Monday when a man ordered people to get on the floor. Amir said he grabbed a revolver from his desk and walked into the store, where he saw a man with what he thought was an assault-style rifle. Amir said the man with the rifle yelled, “He has a gun.” Amir said he fired a shot but didn't think he hit anyone. The would-be robbers ran. Police said no one was hurt.
