Any thoughts that Harford Tech’s 17game, regular-season win streak might be snapped Thursday night were quickly put to rest.

The Cobras (8-0 overall, 4-0 league) scored early and often against the visiting Perryville Panthers (4-4, 2-2) and won big, 62-0, in UCBAC Susquehanna Division play.

Senior Jalen Dangerfield, playing just one half, ran for 190 yards and three touchdowns on seven carries to lead the Cobras.

It was quarterback Ryan Hunt, though, that got the Cobras on the scoreboard first. On third and seven from the Panthers 37, Hunt connected with Jeremiah Minter for an 37-yard touchdown.

Tyler Long’s first of eight extra-point kicks gave Tech a 7-0 lead with 8:10 to play in the opening quarter. Dangerfield then took over. The running back actually fumbled the ball away at his own 29, but four snaps later, he intercepted Perryville quarterback Tyler Nasuta's pass in the end zone.

Three touches later and Dangerfield was off to the races with a 66-yard scoring jaunt.

Dangerfield’s next carry produced a 71-yard touchdown run and the lead was 21-0 with 9:59 left in the half.

“I just had to keep working hard, my team was lifting me up. They didn’t let that fumble get to me,” Dangerfield said. “We were up. We have a great team. They were lifting me up, telling me everything was going to be all right.”

Dangerfield carried the ball one moire time in the half and ran 39 yards for another score.
