Ex-Ravens kicker Stover joins charitable foundation

Two-time Super Bowl champion and former Ravens kicker Matt Stover has been named an honorary board member for the Casey Cares Foundation, a nonprofit organizati­on dedicated to providing little moments and lasting memories to families with critically ill kids. Stover, a Pro Bowl kicker who has been inducted into the Ravens’ Ring of Honor, has been a longtime supporter of the Casey Cares Foundation. For more informatio­n, go to CaseyCares.org. United defender Taylor Kemp announced that he has retired from profession­al soccer after six seasons. The defender scored three goals and recorded 14 assists in 101 MLS regular-season games and also scored one goal and recorded an assist in six postseason appearance­s for United. He is one of only 24 players in club history to have reached the 100 game milestone. —
