■ Yankees, Red Sox: The Yankees clinched their fourth straight playoff berth hours after a 10-2 loss to the host Red Sox. The Yankees booked their postseason ticket after the Mariners fell to the Padres. Red Sox RHP Tanner Houck took a no-hitter into the sixth inning of his second major league start and Michael Chavis hit two HRs off the Green Monster as the host Red Sox halted two long streaks the victory over the rival Yankees. The Red Sox ended the Yankees’ 10-game winning streak and snapped a 12game skid in the series.

■ Blue Jays, Phillies: Teoscar Hernandez hit a two-run HR and Taijuan Walker tossed six sharp innings to help the Blue Jays snap a six-game losing streak with a 6-3 win over the host Phillies on Sunday. Phillies slugger Bryce Harper exited with lower back stiffness after he struck out with the bases loaded in the seventh. Harper took a slow walk in the dugout toward the clubhouse and signaled to manager Joe Girardi he was done for the day. Harper has 11 HRs and 28 RBIs for the Phillies, who are trying to hang on over the final week and secure their first playoff berth since 2011. The Blue Jays (27-26) held onto the eighth and final playoff spot in the AL. They return home to Sahlen Field in Buffalo, N.Y., for the final seven games to try and earn a trip to the postseason. The Phillies hit the road for the final seven games.

■ Braves: Kyle Wright allowed only one hit in the best start of his big league career, pitching into the seventh inning to lead the visiting Braves past the Mets 7-0. Ronald Acuna Jr. homered off Rick Porcello to break a scoreless tie in the sixth and finished with four RBIs. Travis d’Arnaud added a two-run double for his latest clutch hit against his former team. 3 bined with three relievers on a three-hitter as the Braves took two of three in the series from the Mets.

■ Marlins, Nationals: Despite a blowout loss, the Marlins will embark on their first meaningful week to close a season since their 2003 World Series run. Kurt Suzuki homered and doubled to bounce back from a game-ending strikeout in the opener, and the visiting Nationals routed the playoff- contending Marlins 15-0 to split a doublehead­er. In the opener, Marlins reliever Brandon Kintzler fanned Suzuki with the bases loaded to preserve a 2-1 win. The split kept the Marlins a game ahead of the Phillies for second in the NL East.

■ Extra innings: George Springer homered twice, including an inside-thepark shot, to lead the host Astros over the Diamondbac­ks 3-2. Carlos Correa drove in the go-ahead run for the Astros with a sacrifice fly in the eighth. ... Brandon Crawford hit a grand slam, Chadwick Tromp and Darin Ruf added two-run HRs, and the Giants prevented the A’s from clinching the AL West title at home with a 14-2 victory. The A’s, already into the playoffs for a third straight season, needed a win or a loss by the rival Astros to secure their first division crown since 2013.
