Jackson misses practice 3 days after knee injury; LT Stanley returns

- By Childs Walker

Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson did not practice Wednesday, three days after he hurt his knee in a 10-9 win over the Denver Broncos.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh said Jackson is week to week, with him “probably less likely” to play Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Tyler Huntley, who played the last three quarters against Denver and engineered a 91-yard, game-winning drive, would start if Jackson cannot go.

The Ravens were short on offensive linemen, with starting right tackle Morgan Moses (rest), starting right guard Kevin

Zeitler (knee), tackle Patrick Mekari (toe) and center Trystan Colon all missing from practice. Harbaugh said Colon was dealing with a personal matter and called the injuries to Zeitler and Mekari minor.

Other starters missing included wide receiver Devin Duvernay, defensive end Calais Campbell, outside linebacker Justin Houston and cornerback Marcus Peters, all of whom took rest days. Cornerback Daryl Worley did not practice because of a hamstring injury.

The Ravens added a cornerback, threeyear veteran BoPete Keyes, to their practice squad and re-signed wide receiver Binjimen Victor, whom they released to make room for DeSean Jackson on their 53-man roster.

Left tackle Ronnie Stanley, who missed the last two games with an ankle injury, was a full participant Wednesday, a good indication he might return against the Steelers. Linebacker Patrick Queen, who suffered a thigh bruise against the Broncos, practiced as a limited participant.

“I was very happy about the news, once I got the X-rays and stuff,” said Queen, who left the field on a cart Sunday. “Every day has been a step forward so far.”

Queen hesitated for a second when asked if he would be ready to face the Steelers but said, “I’m pretty sure.”

Linebackers Kristian Welch (concussion) and Del’Shawn Phillips (quad) were limited participants.

On the Steelers’ side, outside linebacker T.J. Watt (ribs) and wide receiver Diontae Johnson (hip) were limited participants Wednesday, while running back Najee Harris (oblique), defensive end Larry Ogunjobi (toe), linebacker Malik Reed (back) and right tackle Chuks Okorafor (back) did not practice.

Harbaugh also gave updates on wide receiver Tylan Wallace and cornerback Jalyn Armour-Davis, both of whom are on injured reserve. He expects Wallace (hamstring) to return while Armour-Davis (hip) will miss the rest of the season.
