-

On December 31, 2023; Joyce Anne Kerlin nee Krebs; beloved wife of 45 years to the late Guy Hunter Kerlin; daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth Krebs; dear sister of Phyllis Krebs Floyd, Ronald Edward Krebs Sr and preceded in death by Carolyn Krebs Floyd, Herbert Krebs and Joseph Krebs; also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews all whom she loved as if they were her natural born.

Many holiday dinners around the table with family and friends were her favorite. Joyce was happy when helping others. She made sure people would get to their doctors appointments or chemo treatments. Joyce would smile, laugh and sing with anyone or a group that she could join. She sang in grade school at St. Ann’s, in the funeral choir, the high school choir, acapella choir and in the adult and funeral choir at St. Joan of Arc. The Just Having Fun choir was her last gig, but didn’t last long due to Covid and then later leukemia. Special visits with people where they would bring food and that would not go wasted. The cards, phone calls and visits during this past year were so much appreciated.

Family and friends will honor and celebrate Joyce’s life at the Evans Life Celebration Home-3 Newport Drive (Rts 23 & 24) Forest Hill on Thursday, January 4 from 2-4 & 5-7 PM. A funeral Liturgy will be held 10:30 AM Friday, January 5 at St. Joan of Arc church. Interment New Cathedral Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Joyce’s name may be made St. Joan Of Arc Catholic Church, 222 S. Law Street, Aberdeen MD 21001.
