The Saline County Quorum Court will consider an ordinance that, if passed, will create a subfund of the County General Fund to track revenues, expenditures and other funds related to COVD-19 during its meeting Monday night.

The ordinance states that the Coronavirus Relief Fund sub-fund needs to be created in order to properly track all revenues, expenditures and appropriated transfers of federal assistance through the CARES Act as received by Saline County from the state of Arkansas.

The fund will be subject to all normal county budgeting, appropriation and expenditures regulations as stated by Arkansas law.

Any revenue received from the CRF for an approved county project will be used exclusively for said project. While any revenue received from the CRF to compensate the county for eligible and approved expenditures made by the county die to the public health emergency with respect to COVID-19 is unrestricted county revenue. As such, it may be used for any legal county expense.

The Justices of the Peace will also hear the first of three readings of an ordinance, which, if approved, will see new roads added to the county road system.

Those roads include:

• 3,705 feet of Buck Road.

• 308 feet of Spadra Cove.

• 614 feet of Westcott Cove.

• 682 feet of Hartman Lance. Other items on the agenda include:
