The Bryant Planning Commission is set to meet at 6 p.m. Feb. 8, via Zoom. The meeting will be available to view on Youtube.

The Commission will hear the Development Review Committee report, which includes approval for a sign permit for AR Family Dental, a sign permit for Assurance Health and Wellness and a sign permit approval for Hometown Family Health. DRC recommends approval for a Replat Kings Crossing lot 12 and 114 Monticello Drive West on completion of application.

There will be a public hearing for a conditional use permit for 114 Monticello W. It is regarding a carport that is larger than the ordinance permits. According to the application, they owners did not realize it was too large. They said before putting it in they were told there were no ordinances related to it.

The owners were contacted by Bryant Code Enforcement because their neighbors had complained to the city. They were told to contact the Planning and Development Office. The owners learned there in fact in an ordinance saying it cannot be more than 25 percent the square footage of the home.

The carport in question is 18 feet wide, 40 feet long and 16 feet at its highest point.

In new business, the commission will discuss the Kings Crossing replat.

Director of Planning and Community Development Truett Smith is scheduled to give a report.
