Full agenda for Quorum Court
The Saline County Quorum Court has a full agenda for its Monday night meeting.
The JPS will hear the second of three readings of an ordinance adding roads to the county road system. The areas being considered include:
• 167 feet of Marion Cove
• 1,032 feet of extension of Hampton Drive
• 334 feet of Avilla Cove Drive
• 565 feet of extension of Wingate Drive
• 168 feet of Frederick Cove
• 1,403 feet of Navajo Way
A second ordinance concerning county roads will also be considered. The JP’S will hear the first of three readings of an ordinance adding 790 feet of Banded Lane to the county road system.
The court will also consider the appointment of David Pepper to the Northeast Saline County Fire Protection District Number One to fill the remainder of Darren Corbin’s term. Corbin recently resigned from the board.
Other items on the agenda include:
• An ordinance appropriating $145,309.46 to replace and install a new generators for the Saline County Emergency Communications Center. The city of Benton will reimburse the county for its percentage of the costs in accordance with the interlocal agreement.
• An ordinance transferring $478,347 in Saline County 911 Emergency Services Funds to Salary and Benefits.
• An ordinance appropriating $98.83 from a vendor reimbursement.
• An ordinance appropriating $12,520 in funds from the District Court Automation Fund for the purposes of District Court related technology and other related purposes.
• A resolution authorizing the grant application process for the 2021-2022 STOP Grant program.
• A resolution authorizing the preliminary grant application process for the 20212022 VOCA Grant program.
Prior to the Quorum Court meeting at 6:30 p.m., the HR Committee will meet at 6:15 p.m.
Both meetings will be held in courtroom 3 at the Saline County Courthouse. The public is encouraged to attend. Social distancing measures will be in place and masks are required.
