Veronica “Ronnie” Ritter

-

Veronica “Ronnie” Ritter, 75, of Bryant, gained her angel wings on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2021, after a long battle with Alzheimer's.

She is preceded in death by her parents Christopher and Laura Buckland.

She is survived by her brother, Christopher Jr. (Margaret), of Missouri; her husband of 55 years, Arthur (Art) Ritter; three children, Eric (Claudia), of California, Bret (Kim), of Ohio, and Hollie (Chad), of Benton; and eight grandchildren; along with numerous friends and family who all love and will miss her greatly.

Veronica Jane Buckland was born to Christopher and Laura Buckland on Dec. 5, 1945, in Dorchester, England.

Ronnie enjoyed reading, singing, square dancing and helping others. Although she attended trade school to become an airline stewardess, love and family soon intervened. Throughout her life, she lived in several different states following Art while he changed jobs and worked many different jobs herself. There was nothing Ronnie couldn't do! She loved flowers and spent many years working at Springhill Nursery. Her careers also included being a hostess and an administrative assistant. She said her greatest accomplishment was receiving the Underwood Award at Binghamton Central for being the best typist (Class of 1964). We will miss her smile, her laugh and her infectious personality. She was truly one of a kind.

Ronnie was a resident at Four Seasons for about six years where she was well cared for. She loved all of her nursing staff members. We are very grateful for them and the love they shared with her. She recently moved to Presbyterian Village.

A family celebration of Ronnie's life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to

Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, 2005 AR-5, Benton, AR 72019; Ronnie's church home.
