Joseph Donald Hutchison was born in Little Rock on April 11, 1951 to Marilea Sunderland Hutchison and Dr. Joe Ed Hutchison.

Joe passed away of natural causes May 12, 2022 in Huntsville. Joe graduated from Benton High School in 1969 and led an active life that took him all over the United States as a longhaul truck driver. He retired in 2011 and moved to Huntsville a few years later. Joe inherited his father’s musical ability and was a naturally gifted musician. He had a lifelong love of music and took great pleasure in playing the piano for others. Joe (known as Joe D. to his family and friends) was a loving husband, son, father, grandfathe­r, brother, uncle, and cousin. He was widely known as a loyal and big hearted loving friend to many. Joe was a lover of life and spread joy wherever he went.

He had a gentle soul, a friendly spirit and he loved to exchange stories with family and friends as well as anyone he met along the way in life. His gifts of loyalty, gentleness, kindness and love will be missed dearly by many and especially by his family. Joe will also be missed by his beloved cats: Zeus, Milo, Bon-bon, and Thumper.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Joe and Marilea Hutchison and by his beloved son Jon Hutchison. Joe is survived by his wife, Marianne Scott Hutchison of Huntsville; son David Sullivan and wife Becki of Benton; daughter Elizabeth Hutchison of Huntsville; brother Ed Hutchison of Denton Texas; sister Jeanine Jagodowicz (Morris) of

Los Angeles; sister Susie Gould (Brian) of Little Rock; granddaugh­ters Alicia Hutchison, Briyanna Turner, Aubrey Sullivan; grandsons Garrett Sullivan and Noah Curry; nephews and nieces Taylor Kregel-hutchison, Mark Hutchison, James Gould, Amelia

Gould Scott, Amanda Jagodowicz, and Adam Jagodowicz; and several dear cousins in the Hutchison and Sunderland families.

A celebratio­n of life service will be held at the Huntsville United Methodist Church, 500 W. Main Street, Huntsville, Arkansas on Saturday, June 11 at 1 pm.
