Striking ruthlessly out of the night, the Ghost Riders are the most brutal band of outlaws ever to plague Texas in “The Ghost Riders” (LP W GRI J) By James J. Griffin. Leaving death and devastation behind them, they raid town after town, slaughtering, looting, and burning.
Dressed in robes that conceal their identity and seemingly unharmed by bullets, the Ghost Riders may not even be human. Facing the greatest challenge of his career, legendary Texas Ranger Jim Blawcyzk sets out on the trail of the Ghost Riders, accompanied by his partners Smoky Mccue and Jim Huggins. Blawcyzk is confident that no owl hoot is immune to Ranger lead. What he doesn't know, however, is that before this case is over, the deadly threat of the Ghost Riders will reach out and touch his own family.
Sienna Scott grew up in the dark shadow of her mother's paranoid delusions in “The Look Alike” (LP F SPI E) By Erica Spindler.
Now, she's returned home to confront her past and an unsolved murder that haunts her. In her mother's shuttered house, Sienna's old fear that she was the killer's target that night rears its ugly head. And now she has a new fear: that the killer intends to remedy his past mistake. But are these fears any different from the ones that torment her mother?
As the walls close in, the line between truth and lie, reality and delusion disintegrate. Has Sienna's worst nightmare come true? Or will she unmask a killer and finally prove she may be her mother's look-alike but she's not her clone?
Could a lifetime of memories be a lifetime of lies? In “A Family of Strangers” (LP F RIC E) By Emilie Richards, Ryan Gracey has spent her life watching her perfect older sister from afar. Knowing she could never top Wendy's achievements, Ryan forged her own path while her family barely noticed.
The sisters' choices have taken them in different directions, which is why Ryan is stunned when Wendy calls begging for help. There's been a murder and Wendy believes she'll be wrongfully accused. Ryan digs for answers, yet the trail of clues leads to nothing but questions. What does Ryan owe a sister who becomes more and more a stranger with every revelation? Is Wendy, who always seemed so perfect, just a perfect liar or worse?
Home is the place to heal, right? That's what Dillon Michaels is hoping in “The Happy Camper” (LP F CAR M) By Melody Carlson, as she leaves her disappointing career and love life behind to help her grandfather on his small Oregon farm.
Unfortunately her eccentric mother beat her there and has taken over Dillon's old room. After a few nights sleeping on the sofa, Dillon is ready to give up.
