Home is good for the soul, especially when dealing with physical healing or in the later years of life.

Encompass Home Health is staffed with caring, customer-service oriented staff equipped to provide care right in your own home. For the past 14 years, Encompass Home Health has been serving Big Spring and the surrounding area when it comes to meeting your needs in the comfort of your own home.

“We are here to help you and your family when in need of home health. During the process we work closely with your doctor to ensure the best possible plan and care,” Sally Grant, Area Manager for Encompass Home Health, said.

Encompass Home Health is owned and operated by April Anthony, Michell Mccutchin, and Brooke Grant serves as the Branch Director. The services offered through Encompass include an array of areas including wound care, skilled nursing, skilled therapy, medical social work and home health aide services, and specialty programs.

“Anyone who is need of medical care after getting out of the hospital, memory or physical needs even, our team can offer that level of support and help alleviate some of the stress from the family,” she said.

Grant continued, “Seeing our patients excel and getting better helps validate that what we are doing is helping them heal. It helps us to know that we are doing the job that we are blessed to be able to do.”

Encompass Home Health has offices across the state of Texas, extending their support care to El Paso, up to Amarillo, and even to Coleman and

Eastland areas. Each of their services is offered through a patient-centered focus and is based on evidence and best practices in the medical and home health field. Each program is designed for the individual and many of their patients have shared positive stories highlighting the healing process and the reduction of hospital readmissions. The transition home after a hospital stay can be difficult for some and knowing that a support system is waiting to continue the journey with you and your family helps the healing process flow smoother and increased the chance of a positive outcome.

“We have an unwavering commitment to regulatory compliance and have seen numerous quality patient outcomes since we began serving Howard County and surrounding areas, and those success stories continue to flow in,” Grant said. “The experience our staff brings to each patient’s home includes an array of medical care, including post operative care, cardiopulmonary , therapy services across different spectrums and even simple aide services. We all need a little extra help at times, and there is nothing wrong with that; our staff is here to help fill in those gaps and provide that care when our patients need it.”

Open communication with the patient, hospital staff, medical care providers and family members all play into the services provided through Encompass. In an effort to allow for easy access to the information, patients can see their progress through report cards, patient portal and other benchmark tools utilized by the company. The use of

technology has played a big role in keeping the lines of communication between patients, providers and the staff. As the nation has been dealing with the pandemic and access has been limited, in an effort to keep communities safe and the spread of the virus contained, the initial evaluation for services has changed, but the follow through has

remained the same.

“Just as many other businesses have been impacted by the pandemic, Encompass is no different. The biggest impact we have faced is not being able to go into the hospitals to visit with patients and do the complete evaluation to see if they are in need of our services; however, this is where the relationships and partnerships that we have formed over the years are coming into play,” she said. “We are having to rely on the nursing staff and provider’s

staff to guide the patients and us to the usage of these services.”
