The Howard County Sheriff’s Department reported the following activity:

Note – Officials with the Howard County Jail reported having 116 inmates at the time of this report.

• MICHAEL STEWART DEAX, 44, was arrested by BSPD on a charge of assault causes bodily injury.

• ROBERT LEE VELA, 46, was arrested by BSPD on a charge of public intoxication and possession of controlled substance less than one gram.

Big Spring Fire Department/ems reported the following activity:

• PUBLIC SERVICE was reported in the 2300 block of Ohio Street. No transport was required.

• MEDICAL CALL was reported in the 200 block of Circle Drive. No transport was required.

• MEDICAL CALL was reported in the 1500 block of E. 17th Street. One person was transported to Scenic Mountain Medical Center.

• MEDICAL CALL was reported in the 500 block of S. Douglas. One person was transported to Scenic Mountain Medical Center.

• MEDICAL CALL was reported in the 500 block of W. 17th Street. One person was transported to Scenic Mountain Medical Center.

• MEDICAL CALL was reported in the 500 block of Scott Drive. One person was transported to Scenic Mountain Medical Center.

• MEDICAL CALL was reported in the 1200 block of Sycamore. One person was transported to Scenic Mountain Medical Center.
