‘And Just Like That ... ,’ will there be more?

-

Q: Will there be more of “And Just Like That ... ”? – Sherry Wade, Chillicothe, Ohio

A: There will, and it’s really no surprise that the “Sex and the City” sequel series will continue. HBO Max seemed very interested in having a second season, especially since the streaming service maintains the show drove the most new subscriptions for any new series it has debuted so far … also not much of a surprise, given how many fans are members of the “Sex and the City” faithful.

HBO executives had suggested that a Season 2 largely would be a matter of writer-producer Michael Patrick King, producer-star Sarah Jessica Parker and the other principal creative forces coming up with viable ideas for it — and also of the participants’ schedules meshing again to enable it to become a reality, since Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis typically have remained busy with other work as well. It’s still early, so no date has been set yet for the sophomore round’s premiere

Q: I heard that “The Blacklist” already has been renewed for next season. Is that true? – Susan Hawkins, Reading, Pa.

A: It is. By being picked up for its forthcoming 10th season, the NBC mystery-drama has defied any “jump the shark” hunches that it might end soon after Megan Boone’s departure from the show with the death of her character, Elizabeth Keen. Even without her presence, there’s still been enough activity and action for James Spader’s enigmatic Raymond “Red” Reddington to keep the series going, and that will continue to be the case.
