County commissioners to meet Monday
Howard County Commissioners will meet at 3:30 p.m. Monday in the thirdfloor courtroom of the Howard County Courthouse, 300 N. Main St.
The meeting will begin with a time for citizen input. If you wish to address the court, you should plan to arrive to the meeting early and fill out a brief form alerting the commissioners of your intent to speak.
Following the public comments, County Judge Kathryn Wiseman will introduce an item regarding tax deeds for trust properties in the city of Big Spring. Properties up for consideration include Parcels 10060, 2408, 10059 and 8938.
Judge Wiseman will also introduce an item appointing Phillip Reid as trustee to close out affairs of the Howard County Water Control and Improvement District No. 1.
County Treasurer Sharon Adams will present personnel considerations.
County Auditor Jackie Olson will present invoices, purchase requests, and budget amendments; as well as monthly financial reports and a bid on removal of the incarceration facility.
County Sheriff Stan Parker will inform the commissioners of a donation made to the Sheriff's Office, and seek their acceptance of the gift.
Road Engineer Brian Klinksiek will present his regular Roadway Maintenance Update. Klinksiek will also seek the commissioners' permission to go out for bids on RFB2023002, sealcoat; and RFB2023003, prime.
Commissioners may discuss the law enforcement radio system, and take necessary action. A time will also be provided for commissioners to mention any items to be placed on future agendas, prior to the meeting being adjourned.
