‘Challenge’ pros: New season of ‘The Challenge’ packed with ‘All Star’ all stars.

Bigger, badder and more “challenging” than ever, Season 4 of “The Challenge: All Stars” kicks off with two action-packed, back-to-back episodes, streaming Wednesday, April 10, on Paramount+.

In a competition comprised of reality TV legends, it’s hard to raise the stakes — but somehow, season after season, “The Challenge” manages to surprise not only its most die-hard viewers but also its most competent and capable “All Stars,” with a high-octane sprint packed with twists, turns and a whole lot of “dirty” gameplay.

As a new group of competitors approach the starting line, Variety has shared exclusive details of what’s to come, promising the return of “old-school legends, modern power players, redemption-seekers and ex-lovers,” as 25 of the show’s top veterans — hailing from shows like “The Real World,” “Road Rules,” “The Challenge,” and “Are You the One?” — head to Cape Town, South Africa, where they will form teams and compete for a grand prize of $300,000.

This time around, fans can expect to see some beloved “vets” who haven’t competed in “The Challenge” for years, “including Cara Maria Sorbello [Season 34], Rachel Robinson [Season 22], Adam Larson [Season 11], Averey Tressler [Season 28] and Brandon Nelson [Season 25],” according to Variety.

The publication goes on to explain that multiple cast members will also return with only one previous “Challenge” under their belts: “Kefla Hare, who debuted on ‘Road Rules: Down Under,’ only competed in 1999’s ‘Real World vs. Road Rules,’ while ‘The Real World: Miami’ alum Flora Alekseyeun only played in 2002’s ‘Battle of the Seasons.’ Jay Gotti, from 2014’s ‘Real World: Ex-plosion,’ only competed in ‘Battle of the Exes II’ in 2015,” it explains.

The season’s greatest alliances, however, may rest within the “All Star” franchise itself, as nearly half of the returning contestants (10 of 25) have appeared in previous iterations of this top-notch spinoff.

Ayanna Mackins, Derek Chavez, Janelle Casanave, Jasmine Reynaud, Ryan Kehoe, Steve Meinke and Tina Barta will all be returning from 2021’s “All Stars 2” cast, while Ace Amerson (“All Stars 1”), Brad Fiorenza and Syrus Yarbrough (both of “All Stars 3”) are prepared to give it their all this second time around.

Whether their former “All Star” status will give them an advantage in the game, one thing’s for sure: The competition will be tough when Season 4 of “The Challenge: All Stars” premieres Wednesday, April 10, on Paramount+.
