Grace in a Graceless World
When I was a little girl, my mom and daddy gave me lots of grace. I thrived on it. In fact I would run to Momma when I couldn't do something right and she would always gracefully help me out. Tying shoes, riding a bicycle for the first time, making cookies, even learning to dress myself properly, all were point of grace with her. She was a great mom.
Daddy wasn't any different. He helped me put a worm on my hook and show me where the fish were.
He helped me learn to shoot a gun when we went hunting to put food on our table. He taught me how to change the oil and spark plugs in our vehicles. He was a great dad.
But where do we find grace in our world today. I have a Missionary to America brother who is always willing to discuss Scripture with me. I have another who always call me to check up on me making sure I am in good health.
I have another who calls me at Christmas and birthday to bless me with his interest in me. I have a multitude of friends who pray for me when I have a request.
I am blest.
The God I serve gives more grace than I deserve. His Son, Jesus, died on the Cross to extend His grace so I could go to Heaven. His grace is sufficient for any trial, test, heartache, or disappointment this life has to throw at me.
He said anyone who calls on His Name can have His grace extended to them as well.
We live in a frustrating time. Something I never dreamed we would go through.
But we are going through it. Together. Let's extend God's grace to others during this time of uncertainty. God will bless us for it. Guaranteed grace is His to give.
