The Big Spring Swim Team participated in their third meet of the season last weekend at the Big Spring YMCA. The schools that participated were Abilene High, Abilene Cooper, and Big Spring. It was a great day in the pool for the Steers as a team with the boys and the girls finishing first against both schools, which meant a victory in the combined category as well. The next time that this group will enter the pool will be Oct. 31 in Monahans for a Tri-Meet.

Big Spring's boys defeated Abilene High by four points when the Steers collected 72 going head-to-head against Abilene High. They were also able to defeat Abilene Cooper by 13 points (72.00-59.00). The girls also won their matchup against Abilene by scoring 85 points (85.00-62.00) and crushed Abilene Cooper (97.00-35.00). In the combined scores, Big Spring defeated Abilene (157.00-130.00) and Abilene Cooper (169.00-94.00).
