That You May Know
“He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” 1 John 5:12-13.
If you have believed on the name of the Son of God, you have eternal life…end of story. However, if you have not believed on the name of the Son of God, then, you do not have the Son and consequently, you do not have life.
Have you believed on the name of the Son of God? If you have not believed, I want to invite you at this time to believe on His Name. Believe on the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in this very instant, you will be saved. You will be saved once and for all, eternally, unconditionally; no expiration dates and no kickers. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved, without the need of baptism, or church attendance, or tithe giving. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and at this very moment, you will be saved - no need to keep the Ten Commandments, or perform a single good work…ever. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ – that’s it; nothing else. Do not promise God that you will stop sinning, because you will never be able to fulfill this promise. Instead, believe only. Do not tell God that you promise to be a good Christian – just believe. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and He will take care of making the changes in your life that He deems necessary after you believe only on His Name.
John says - these things I have written to you that believe on the name of the Son of God, that ye may know that ye have eternal life. Do you know whether or not you have eternal life? If you know, you know, and if you don’t know, then you don’t know. If you do not know, there is only one Person who can teach you and that Person is the Holy Spirit of God. And the Holy Spirit is a good teacher because He reminds us of the fact that, on the cross, Jesus said…
…it is finished.
