Sheri Bailey, 51, of Big Spring lost her month-long fight with COVID-19 in an El Paso hospital on Monday, Dec. 28, 2020.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 1, 2021, at Myers & Smith Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Cornerston­e Covenant Church, 706 E. 12th Street, Big Spring, Texas. Services will be officiated by Pastor Michael Willard. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. Sheri was born Sept. 30, 1969, in Big Spring, Texas, to Sharon and William “Lin” Wallace. Sheri married the love of her life, Richard Monroe Bailey, on Dec. 14, 1988. She attended Big Spring High School. Sheri worked in the medical field for most of her adult career.

Many friends became family through her time working with Dr. McDaniel and Steward Clinic. Sheri loved to dance and listen to live music. She was passionate about helping others. She adored her children and loved being “Noni” to her grandchild­ren more than anything. She was proud of her family!

Sheri is survived by her husband, Rick Bailey, Sr., daughter Amanda Wallace of Big Spring, son Rick Bailey, Jr. and wife Shawna of Big Spring, and her son Joshua Bailey. She is also survived by two brothers, Randy Wallace and Ricky Wallace, both of Big Spring; two sisters, Sheli Buck and husband Scott Buck of Big Spring, and Kelsie Johnson and husband Josh Johnson of Oklahoma; Grandkids Neely Key, Kylee Key, Linken Lasater, Jaxson Bailey, Brayson Reid and Bentley Bailey, and several nieces and nephews, as well as BONUS family that she loved as her own.

She is preceded in death by Parents Sharon and William Wallace, grandparen­ts Henry Clay Payne and Buela Beatrice Payne, Clifton and Elizabeth Wallace, and one brother William “Little Lin” Laird.

Pallbearer­s will be Rick Bailey, Jr., Joshua Bailey, Adrian Grant, Shane Burt, Jason Key, Ky Hofacket, Luke Smith and Austin Lane.

Honorary Pallbearer­s will be Linken Lasater, Jaxson Bailey, Brayson Reid, Bentley Bailey and Lane Johnson.

Arrangemen­ts are made by Myers & Smith Funeral Home.
